Homefront trailer

The american men a showed a narrowed mined, also they are shown as being violent. the boy is shown as thinking he is powerful and in charge by bullying the young girl. He thinks that he is better then her, pushing her and laughing at her. Girl then shows that she  can also have the power and be in charge by punching the boy in the stomach.  The older men with guns shown that he thinks he is in power. He is more powerful then someone without a gun.

Cagney and Lacey

Cagney and Lacey - start to 3.58

The women as represented as being in power as they are both police officers, and it a positive way. Showing that women can get high jobs, also they were shown arresting men as the start. But their boss is still a man, showing that they are still the most powerful. As they are both wearing normal clothes suggests they are high up as they don't have a uniform that they have to wear. One of the women have a husband. Also it shows they have power, as there is a picture of the holding a gun. Their is visual codes of they having guns and badges, giving them a status. Both wearing sensible clothes, with plain colours. Shown as a housewife a she is seen giving him his lunch and taking the children to school.

This week i have been textual analysed a few CD covers. i have found that most have one key image, which covers most of the CD, this images is looks likes its looking at the customers bringing people in. Also that they have a bold cover line that stands out.

Technical codes
- no diegetic music, showing an atmosphere as he didn't get through.
- the non diegetic music will makes you feel sorry him as he did get through and people will make fun of him. the music also makes you feel different emotions. this is because you don't know weather to laugh or feel sorry for him.

Coronation street
1. the intended audience for coronation street is 15-70. this will be because coronation street is growing up with the kids, with their parents and grandparents watching it as well. also with coronation street having a lot of young character, this will bring a younger audience to watch it. Also they may watch it to see there idol. Coronation street may drew audience's in when they have certain story lines that people may want to watch.
2. The programme meets different gratification's one is personal identity, this will because of the story lines that coronation street used. They are story lines that people in the world are going through each day. This clip shows Harley telling Roy that she has cancer. People can relate to this if  someone has cancer and told them or telling there family and friends that they have cancer. It all shows how different people react to the news. Another gratification is entertain this will be from passing time and having nothing else to do, to enjoying the show. Also people may watch the programme to relax and enjoy it. Another gratification is social integration where people may want to watch it so they can talk to their friends and family about it. Also they may watch it to flow a story lines and talk about it with different people where its on a social network or on a face to face.
3.Coronation street will construct the programme to have it in a certain way, this could be from execrate the different story lines. Also they will leave cliffhangers, which you can't do it real life as anything don't stop. Coronation street will select certain scene's to to bring more people to watch the show and to effect people personally.

Audio Codes- They have used non diegetic when the phoebe friend takes most of joey's food. This creates a tension because it shows the emotion that joey is really annoyed. Also the slow monition with the music creates the impression with the horror that she is doing to eat his food. The music also suggests that she should be scary as it sounds like the music from jaws, this will show that she shouldn't touch Joey's food or something bad will happen.
Technical Codes-  
-There is a close up of Joey where it is shown that someone has a bit of his food. They did this to show his emotion which is angry because someone it having some of his food. 
-They a Medium (mid) shot when joey and phoebe are talking this will be to show the body language. Phoebe shows surprise because joey wouldn't share his food. 
-The camera is always eye level with the actors, this will be to show the emotion and face expressions on the actors to show how they are feeling. 
- Having the slow monition of the women, creates a tension showing annoyance and also the women looks happy. 
Visual Codes-
-The camera it always on the person who it talking, it is never not on them if they are talking. This will be to show the emotion of the person. Always the other people will be out of focus or you can see the back of them.
-Joey is a smart top, this shows that they are in a smarter restaurant then from the cafe.
- Joey has used facial expression when the women takes food from his plate, he shows that he is shocked and annoyed that someone is trying to have his food.
-The lighting it also above the actors, this shows that they are the main focus.

The Fresh Prince of bel-air. 
1.The intended audience for this 14 - 30 because it shows a family life. Its about  how will gets in trouble and has to move in with his auntie and uncle in bel-air. This shows a stereotypical family and how his behave changed when he lived with his auntie and uncle. The show will target black americans this will be because its about a black american family. 
2.The programme meets personal identity, this would be because people can relate to the show about being kicked out and having to move in somewhere else. Also cause they don't live with their parents and they live with their auntie and uncle. Also people can relate to the show if they act they same way or similar. another gratifications that has be used is entertainment, this could be from seating down to relax or just flicking through channels and passing time. More people may watch this so to relax, as its a  very relaxing and funny programme. Another uses and gratification maybe social integration this maybe  watching the programme so you can talk to your friends or family about it.
3. Fresh Prince of Bel-air will me construction is a different way the real life is not. This would be because the show will pick a story line and change it from the outside world, but on some lines people can still relate to the story line.

This shows class because of where the school is it made national newspaper, whereas a school like Higham Lane probably wouldn't even make the local newspaper. This is a negative representation because its shows that a boy from an upper class school should not be taking drugs. However people using drugs in a lower class school, instead shown as a big deal.

Mrs Browns Boys shows a positive representations of sexuality. This is because one of the sons is homosexual, his mum didn't know this so he had to tell her. The TV programme shows you how he tells her he is gay, and how she expects it. Its a positive story because its a Irish Catholic family who accepts the son / brother for who he is.

This is Hannah Montana, and this is targeted to people aged 10. The film is a very positive representation of young girls in the target audience. It shows girls following there idol, without all the negatives of the girls growing up with issues. For example doing drugs. The film has a positive message as you can follow your dream and achieve what you want.

This is Gillette Soccer Saturday, this is targeted more towards men. This is a positive representation because the presenters aren't serious and have a joke. Also as they are providing you information in a light hearted way.  You know its targeted more towards men as it is about football and there are no women on the panel.
